• The latest in cutting edge technology that gives St. Mary an edge over other area providers.

• Continuing education that keeps our key players in the forefront of medical breakthroughs.

• Knowing that because of your contribution, a low income family has access to high-quality healthcare and social programs.

These are all compelling reasons to give.

At St. Mary, life-saving equipment and technology that is used every day in nearly every department both on and off campus is made available solely through the generosity of forward-thinking community members like yourself.  It is your time, talent and treasure that allow us best serve the healthcare needs of Bucks County and beyond.

Learn WHY Dr. Richard and Mindy Goldstein GIVE BACK

goldstein_croppedDr. Richard and Mindy Goldstein have a long and rich history with St. Mary. After all, eight of their twelve children were born here.

Dr. Goldstein began his professional association with St. Mary Medical Center in 1987, and since then has also served as president of the medical staff from 2001-2003, been an integral member of numerous committees, and helped to establish The Endoscopy Center at St. Mary, one of the first of its kind in the country.

While raising a large family and building a thriving medical practice over the past 29 years, the Goldstein’s have come to appreciate the importance of local, advanced medical care. With two disabled children who often need extensive medical attention, the proximity and availability to acute care is critical.

“There is a correlation between philanthropic support and the availability of advanced lifesaving technology and equipment. That is precisely why we are happy to continue the tradition of physician and community support by chairing St. Mary’s largest annual fundraiser, the Spring Gala. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to attend numerous hospital and foundation functions, donate to two capital campaigns and to have sponsored several Community League events. The St. Mary Gala is a community building enterprise which brings together the medical staff, administration, and community members to celebrate the mission and vision of St. Mary Medical Center. As a St. Mary physician who also lives in Bucks County, I feel a sense of ownership and pride being associated with the hospital. It’s my hope that all community members, as well as medical staff members, embrace St. Mary as their own. We feel the gala is a wonderful way to connect with other physicians and community members while having a lot of fun and supporting a worthy cause.”

While the concept that giving to others can make you feel good about yourself is not revolutionary, there are many more subtle ways that giving freely of your time, talent and treasure can benefit your psychological, spiritual and emotional well-being. A recent study by Harvard Business School faculty and graduate students titled “Feeling Good about Giving: The Benefits (and Costs) of Self-Interested Charitable Behavior,” explores the ways in which charitable behavior can lead to benefits for the giver.
